Once upon a time, I was a smoker. Lighting up every day, feeling trapped by the addiction. But one day, something changed. I looked in the mirror and decided I had enough. It was time for a change.
It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
Everyone knows about the benefits of giving up smoking including better health and saving money, and that smoking can lead to disability and even to death. It harms the body of the smoker but also it harms the health of people around.
Even though I knew that smoking was hazardous to my health, I continued to engage in it.
You know why? Because smoking is not only a physical dependency but also an emotional attachment. I used to smoke not only when I got upset, stressed, felt lonely or bored, but also when I felt happy. Smoking became my best friend.
It is known that after 3 days of non-smoking your body is not addicted to smoking, emotional addiction is a powerful part to break here.
We treat it as a person, as our best friend but you must pay for it. Do you really need to have a friend like that, someone you have to pay with your health and sometimes even your life?
